This Maven is a dynamic leader in the transportation and logistics industry. He has held leadership positions with transportation companies including FedEx (where he completed the Management Education Program), Saia LTL (where he received the coveted "Tony Richards Award of Excellence") and Southeastern Freight Lines. He has also served as the Director of Logistics for DaVita Laboratories and the Director of Logistics for THI eCommerce (where he received the President's "Leadership Excellence Award"). Additionally, he has held senior command level military leadership positions with the United States Marine Corps at the Regimental and Combined Joint Task Force level providing a positive, effective and ethical leadership example to organizations as large as 3500 members from diverse cultures and backgrounds. He has demonstrated exceptional performance in all aspects of transportation and logistics including sales, operations, operational support, international, air cargo, small parcel and freight forwarding among others. He also serves as an Associate Professor at the College of Central Florida (CF.edu) where he instructs in the Department of Business and Technology in the areas of transportation and logistics, as well as other areas of business. In addition to his work in the classroom, he serves as the primary curriculum developer of courses in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management B.A.S. program. As president of his own consulting firm, Evamark Logistics, he assists organizations across a wide spectrum of industries in streamlining and improving the operational effectiveness of their supply chain.

I led and developed the Logistics and Corporate Training teams of a leading automotive aftermarket e-commerce and brick-and mortar retailer. I was responsible for performance process improvements and service quality enhancements as well as management of a multi-million dollar transportation/logistics budget. Led and mentored the corporate training team in the areas of new hire orientation, continuing education and curriculum development. I served as the corporate leadership development mentor and facilitate the Leadership Development Process (LDP). I planned and organized laboratory logistics operations to meet service demand and expectation for over 2500 DaVita clinics and external clinical trials clients in domestic and international locations. Lead, develop and implement laboratory logistics operations strategy at two U.S. lab facilities to include laboratory operations, logistics, facilities, safety and project management. I set goals/guidelines, develop departmental performance metrics to drive process/service improvements as well as create, manage and maintain a multi-million dollar budget.

My responsibilities included coordination of freight claims prevention issues with both internal and external customers, advising shippers on packaging and handling issues and development of action plans to address performance deficiencies in sixty-six terminals covering seven southwestern states. Developed and implemented claims prevention measures and techniques that are still in use with the company.
I served as Command Sergeant Major at the Battalion/Squadron, Regimental and Joint Task Force level. Assignments included Regimental Sergeant Major of the 14th Marine Regiment headquartered in Fort Worth, TX, composed of 15 units and 3500 Marines located throughout the United States as well as the Joint Task Force Sergeant Major of African Lion, the largest U.S. exercise on the African continent. Previous assignments included senior leadership positions both overseas and in CONUS with the United States Central Command, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Marine Divisions, the 3rd and 4th Marine Aircraft Wings, the 4th Marine Logistics Group and MARFORRES Force Headquarters Group. I successfully completed all levels of Staff Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Military Education at the Marine Corps University as well as being awarded the William "Red" King Award as honor graduate from the U.S. Army Airborne Course. I was inducted into the Honorable Order of St. Barbara for significant contribution to the Marine Corps Field Artillery community.
